Default My hedgie just gave birth

Hi, i am in a little bind and kind of "freaking" out. I have a hedgie who name is Wheat. She just gave birth from my other hedgie named Stitch. I was told when i got stitch that he was neutered. But it turns out, he is not.

I was unaware that my hedgie was pregnant as there was no weird signs that she was showing.

I hear Stitch and Wheat, i thought were playing but it sounded more serious and maybe they were just in a bad mood today. So i checked on them and notice the babies were kind of spread out, stitch is bothering Wheat. Prior, i didnt know she had given birth. I removed stitch from the cage but i had to remove their home to get him out since he kept running away from me.

I dont know what to do now that i have messed up Wheats home and i cant put it back due to the babies moving while i had removed Stitch and i also touched one of the babies in the process. I am afraid that if i put the home back, i may put it on the babies and Wheat is not letting me ANY where near the cage. I dont want her to kill the babies as i do want to raise them (they are like.
My grandchildren now)

Is there any suggestions as to what to do? I feel i messed up badly.

Put the home back in the cage them leave her completely alone for 24 hours, no peeking or going near the cage. This is going to give the babies the best chance of surviving. I'm sure you know this already but stitch and wheat can not have any contact at all ever again. There is also a good chance that wheat is already pregnant again.

I was able to put the home back. When is the best time to refill her food? I usually make sure they have food before i go to bed every night. Now i am afraid to go anywhere near her cage.

Feed her at the normal time and talk softly to her so she knows it's you.
