Default Lucy Is Expecting!!!

Hi,
My hedgehog Lucy is expecting!!!!! The little bundles of joy are due September 26, or around that time!!!! I'm very excited. Lucy is albino, and so is Silver (the male I bred her with). This is going to be quite the experience!!!!!

Please make sure you have a hedgehog knowledgeable vet that you can call at any time in an emergency, just in case. Females shouldn't be bred for the first time when they're over a year old, and you posted before that Lucy was 11 months old back in June.

+1 She could get very hurt from birth. Keep an eye on her balance and ability to walk after she delivers.

Yay! How exciting! I can't wait to see the pictures!

Out of curiosity, what do you usually get when you cross two albinos? More albinos or other colours?

Albinism is recessive, so albino x albino = only albino.

Lucy has been bred before, don't worry. I believe she was six or seven months old at the time, and successfully delivered three beautiful babies. My vet also would be very willing to see her if need be.

Oh good, glad to hear it isn't her first litter and that the first one didn't cause any problems. Hope everything goes smoothly for you!

Very glad to hear that! Good luck with the litter and definitely post pictures once the babies are old enough!
