Unhappy Mama is 37 days, but no babies??

I first want to make the introduction being that we are new breeders. Given that, it doesn't matter how much research and insight we obtain, this waiting and wondering is causing us anxiety.

Our first mama is 37 days today. Yesterday she moved all of her toys and sleep sacks to one side of condo. Today she is sleeping peacefully. Is there a point where we should worry? We expected she would deliver within a short time after the nesting behavior. We are positive on date of conception.

Thanks!

There's always that chance the mating didn't take. Sometimes it takes longer than 35 days, I have had a few that went as many as 42 days. Hopefully you will have some little ones soon, fingers crossed. Hopefully some others will be through soon with more info.

We are positive of when, maybe not the if. She has had weight gain and is nesting in a way she never has before. Just in the last 24 hours the nesting started. She is also showing some nipples closer to her front legs. She was with the male twice, two weeks apart. We are going by the second date of mating at this point. We are like nervous first time moms!

What was her weight gain? I've had a girl that I decided was not preg at 40 days because she stayed 700 grams and no change in her and at 46 days had 2 babies most of the time my girls are 36 or 37 days don't worry yet how old is the pair how long were they together. I only keep mine with the male two days a week if the female is a tuff one with the boys.

A mentor is preferably someone who has experience in breeding for a while, to whom you can ask questions and look to for guidance.

They come in handy exp when issues arise. A lot of issues new breeders have its good to have a person to call and ask questions when it happens and most breeders have went thro the same thing and can help you.
