Default Cooling the cage

Yet another question!

I saw in Reaper's sticky that for emergency cooling you can put ice packs on the cage, but the hottest days of summer up in MA are coming around. I measured the temp in the cage today and it was about 85. (Note: it is in a temporary place, partly in the sun for now) Regardless, that's already probably too hot and I think it will get much hotter until probably about Sept. My apartment has no AC, and I can't use a fan (at least in the direction of Gordon's cage) because of the draft... so I'm wondering, is there any way to keep the temperature of the cage a little lower?
I ask lots of questions.
