Default What's in a name?

So on Wednesday I will be adding to the last of my quilly family for the foreseeable future. Two older gals will be flying in from Kentucky. The girl with the pinto face will be 1yr in September and the spiltface will be 1yr in November. Their names respectively are Verah and Rose.

My question is that since they are older and have lived in a great home is should I rename them? I love discovering that perfect name for a pet but I don't want to rename them if they may be attached. (I don't even know if they are attached to their names )

Opinions are welcome as well as any name suggestions if your opinion sways that way.

I've also attached two pictures of the girls being groomed for their flight that the breeder posted.

Oh my goodness they are so cute!
I don't see why you couldn't re-name them.

You could rename them. I personally might not.
Get to know them and if their names just don't fit, then rename them. I do know that at least 2 of my kids know and respond to their names.

That's probably what I'll do. Wait and see. I have a couple of names I like but I don't think I'll be able to decide until I have them with me.

The only ones I've ever renamed are those who came from questionable circumstances or their names just did not fit. I took in a Sonic who ended up being a Sonia. I couldn't leave her with a boy name.

I don't even know what Olive's name was before I got her, her last person (I don't call him an owner because he was horrible) didn't even feel the need to tell me what he called her. That's why I came up with something on my own, I am not sure if she knows her name or not, she doesn't come when called LOL but she doesn't huff when I say her name lol! I call her potato, O-lee Po-lee, punkin, pooper, sweet bottom lol, and booger butt, she flinches at every other noise than my voice, if my mom speaks she balls and huffs, but when I talk to her she comes right out to me. I think renaming them is good, since they are starting a new life with you! I also renamed my puppy, his original name was Peek-a-Boo...yes... that's what the shelter named him *face palm* he is now Loki, because he's reddish copper color and extremely mischievous (so bummed the thor movies came out since now it's super popular and wasn't when I named him that) but I think you should give them new names, ones that fit their personality or ones that are loving to you, I think naming a pet something that makes you happy, or reminds you of beauty, love, or something happy is a wonderful gift and a bonding experience for you and them. Do whatever makes YOU happy!

I renamed a rehome too, I didn't like the name and it didn't fit my theme. I don't see why you couldn't rename them if you want to. I don't think hedgehogs get attached (or listen to) their names.
