Default A Sigh of Relief

I don't really have a question, I just need to celebrate! I recently, two weeks ago exactly, I got a little girl hedgehog; Rica.

For coming from a breeder, she has been a frantic little mess with so many problems that have made her little life so much more stressful. I.E. Her nails being so long on her front paw they were curled into her foot... her back ones so butchered her fleece was even catching it and affecting her walk... and for her first week I was forced to syringe feed her because she refused anything but one dried mealworm... what her breeder fed her because she wouldn't touch her live ones. Thankfully I can get rid of them now.

After our vet visit, and richer food to tempt her to eat I finally found this recipe for what I have dubbed Hedgehog Goop. A mixture of unsalted chicken broth, her little boy's richer kibble, baby foods, and pumpkin.

Anyway, it's day three of her eating all her food and even eating her normal kibble on her own. I am so happy I cried. I feel like I won a lottery!!! Now to fix our bonding now that her little toes are all fixed and she's relaxing (some) in her newer home.

P.S. The key to her heart? Letting her run the bathroom floor and explore while I take a bath.
