Default ... thinking about hedgie mobility...

Ok, so I've been doing some research since we discovered Daisy really wants to move move move and can do so with support of her front.... I've discovered a unit used by ferrets made up of tiny shin gaurds and clothesline pullies... I am trying to contain my excitement...

Fingers crossed! I will of course update all of our progress/experiments over the next few days.

Oh my gosh You never know how it will go with these things, but would that not be so amazing!! An animal's amazing will to live and human innovation can be a powerful combination! A simple google search of 'pet wheelchairs' brings up many images of dogs on wheels, and even ferrets have custom made ones...I have no idea how that would work with a hedgehog's anatomy, but when there's a will, there's a way, right?? Good luck to you and Daisy!

I managed to get a shin gaurd and manipulate it into a harness if you will for Daisy.

I couldn't find the pulley's I was looking for at the store I stopped at, so I will keep looking, I did try some different lego variations but it didn't really work right and she kept nose diving. HAHAH>

What a little trooper. I think the use of the pully wheels off to the side will work, I just have to find a small enough set. I will order online if I don't find anything in the next week or so.
