Default Update from thumbekina the hedge her self

hello hoomans!

It is I the beloved and spoiled rotten hedgie! So j haven't posted but that's because momma has been busy with pharmacy school stuff so she hogs the computer

Let me see what has happened over the past months. Well I got new toys, a birthday tutu and I'm now two years and two months old!

Mom and dad have officially given up keeping me in a cage so now I have full run of the room. I have ruined two curtains climbing out of my home!

Yes you read correctly the room is my playground I have my own water and food dish.. Under the dresser (my favorite nappin place in the room) momma and daddy made me a hedgie haven! And I have a tunnel system encase I don't wanna be seen scurrying about!

I even had momma get a sign for her and daddy's bedroom that says "hedgehog crossing" and then daddy thought it was funny to make one saying "attack hedgehog on guard duty!"

Momma rolled her eyes at that one.. I think it's great.

So I might be getting a little brother hedgie in the next few months! I don't think my turtle siblings are happy but what can I do.. Their in tanks!

And that's pretty much it for now.. I think the biggest thing is I now own momma and dads room.. But don't worry I'm safe!!

Bye for now!

Wet kisses

Thumbelina

Ps. As I type this I just pooped on moms school notes.. Teehee
fishhead and dobbymama_01 like this.

Good to hear Thumbelina is well. Just an obligatory precaution (partly for others who will read this) that free-range is not usually recommended for hedgehogs & extreme care should be taken to make sure all escape routes are cut off, there's no place for hedgie to get stuck or climb/fall, and that everything is heated to a safe temperature to avoid hibernation attempts.

Side-note, but if she gets a brother, also make sure he's in a completely different room from her & in an escape proof cage. Don't want babies!

Thumbekina a mom here:

I strongly agree with the above.. It's just our Thumbelina kept destroying curtains and climbing out no matter what she did! So we have her what she wanted And we did it also as a safety thing because of where her home was and other things.. We don't want our child hurt! She is out away though when guests come!.. We have everything hedgie safety proofed. We also take strong precaution when entering the room! Be that we have taken the rights steps to protect her.. Hedgie a should be kept in safe places! And warm are darling is always warm and has everything she needs avaibe to give her healthy living she deserves!

And yes I'm not ready for hedgie babies! Dads just tired of a house filled with girls hahaha!
