Talking Totally Loving Hedgie-Parenting!

Hello people!

I just wanted to share that my husband and I are TOTALLY hedgie people now! We got our little guy, Sephiroth, on Saturday morning and he's already such a joy!

We were anticipating a long warm-up period but this guy's a little explorer and seems very comfortable with handling already. He's only huffy when he first wakes up, and when he hears a new noise like the kitchen timer.

He had an oatmeal bath on Monday due to some quilling discomfort and he was a total angel for it.

He loves his wheel and he's actually very clean inside the cage (only goes to the bathroom on the wheel, which is easy enough to clean).

We're so happy we decided to make the jump into hedgie-parenting! I just wanted to share that happiness with you guys, because this forum helped us SO MUCH in getting ready for him. Thank you for maintaining such a great community!

He's so cute!

What's he snuggled into in the third picture?

That would be a plushy microfiber towel to get him dry after his oatmeal bath. It's like, crazy absorbent. And cuddly! :P

That's a really good idea! I'm adding it to my shopping list! After all, my husband has already asked, "Did we buy this much stuff for our human babies?" (Yes.) So, what's one more little thing?

Exactly! Animals (like human babies) are just so fun to spoil! Here's the link to what I think is the brand of the towel we have...
