Lightbulb Dragonfly TV want to hear your unusual hedgehog stories!

Do you have an unusual hedgehog tale?

Does your hedgehog have an out of the ordinary or heart-warming life story?

If so, Dragonfly TV would love to hear from you!

Dragonfly Film and Television (makers of the hit BBC series The Burrowers) are producing a new Natural History documentary for a major TV network about Britain's favourite spiky friend, the hedgehog!

We are looking for unusual behaviour, rescue and rehabilitation stories to film this year and we're looking to feature some of the rarer cases, like ballooning syndrome, hedgehogs that have lost their spines or an albino hedgehog story.

I suppose this is about European hedgehogs and they should be living in the UK?

Hi Draenog. We are focusing on European hedgehogs but we'd also like to hear stories about other types of hedgehogs/hedgehog stories from other countries too.

Okay. Most people on this forum own African pygmy hedgehogs, the ones you can keep as pets (as you probably know it's illegal to keep European hedgehogs).

But please stop spamming, an admin will most likely remove the other threads. Posting it one time should be enough...

I see, we're looking for stories about African pygmies too. Yeah we know it's illegal to keep European ones, so from that point of view we're looking to hear about people's encounters with them in their gardens etc.

Apologies, wasn't sure which forum to go for so posted in a few that seemed relevant.

Thanks for your help Draenog

It will all show up in the "active topics" part, which is where most people look for new and active threads so they should be able to see it no matter where you post it.

I live in Europe but not in the UK, so I don't know if I would be of any use to you guys.
