Default Hedgie loves to be under blanket!

My male hedgehog (Alfred) likes to be under his blanket. All. The. Time. He will wake up and run on his wheel from about 1-5 a.m. and then he of course sleeps all day. But he moves his blanket so he can eat and drink from under his blanket. It doesn't matter how we arrange his cage, he'll move it so he can stay under the blanket all the time. Is this something I should be worried about? Is he extra light-sensitive?

Ok, so honestly, this is super cute to me 😂 Igor loves his blanky too. He can’t relax if he isn’t covered.
About the worrying part tho.

I would first ask when you got Alfred? Is he new or have you had him for a while now?

We've had him for just over a year now. He's always been like this! It is super cute, I just want to make sure he's well adjusted and it's not completely out of the ordinary. I attached a pic of what his food looks like! He's always burying his head when I hold him too. He's very friendly with me and likes to burrow in my hair while sitting on my neck.

Awwww that’s so cute! In all honesty, if he has always been doing this, and it’s not a new habit he recently developed, I wouldn’t be too worried. Maybe it’s just what he likes.
It doesn’t seem to inflict any damage to him, nor have a negative impact on his life or your relationship, so I’d just leave it as it is.

But that’s what I’d do. If you’re still worried, then don’t hesitate looking or asking for a second opinion.

I just really love his quirk! Such an exotic boy!

Thanks for the reassurance. It just helps for someone else to say it's okay and don't stress!
