Default New hog mom. Bonding with multiple people and new to handling hedgehogs

I got a hedgehog 3 days ago, his name is Oliver. He is a very friendly baby, he let's me pick up with my bare hands. Im not 100% confident picking him up yet and sometimes this takes me a couple tries before I get it. Sometimes he puffs at me and it makes me jump. Will this affect our relationship? Once I pick him up he's fine and relaxed in my hands. But I dont want him to associate me with being scared because sometimes I struggle to pick him up.
I bought my hedgehog for myself but my roommate saw I got one and now she is trying to bond with it too. Is it ok to have both of us trying to bond with him? Or will this be too overwhelming for him?

Some hedgehogs will use you being scared to their advantage to not bond so do try to not jump and show your scared as that might affect it a bit.

To be honest bonding depends on the hog, how they will cope with more than one person at the same time, a lot dont do so well. But some are totally fine with it. They will always pick a favourite - normally the one that handles them most and feeds them more.
