Default Recently stopped running

My hedge of 4 years stopped running on his wheel a few days ago. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old and this is the first big change of behavior. I don't think it's age related because it happened so suddenly.

I washed his wheel 5 days ago, and it has yet to be pooped on (usually a mess). I have searched the forum and still have no idea what's wrong.

Nothing changed, same wheel, same temp, same smells, recently trimmed nails. Only thing different is reintroducing peas into his fresh food (ground beef and corn, he's a picky eater) about two week ago, tho I'm not sure he's actually ate any of them (he still eating the rest, as well as his dry food) and was a full week before he stopped running.

When I've gotten him out, the only behavior change is that he is mellower. He is still walking well and upon examination looks normal and good.

I'm worried about my boy, any help is appreciated.

At 4 years of age any big change in behavior is a good reason for a vet check up.The fact that he is more mellow could mean he is not feeling well. They are good at hiding illnesses and it may be a simple issue but a check up is the best way to know hes ok for sure.
