Default 5 month old grouch

My baby, Ruby is just about to turn 5 months old as far as I know. I got her when she was just over 6 weeks old and she has been a joy to be around since. Up until last week when she started puffing up at the slightest thing. Ruby was such a good mannered hoglet that when I took her to the vet a month ago the Doctor said that she's the nicest hedgehog she's ever had the pleasure to meet. (Ruby let the vet hold and touch her - even checked her vitals without the baby balling up, so no need to be sedated, which I was so proud of her for)

I wanted to highlight how unbelievably sweet she was, and now she is just grumpy all the time. I can be in our room getting ready and she will puff up and growl at me or my fianc้. I just don't know what's up with her! Help!

There have been no changes in diet, her cage, etc.

Sounds like teenage angst. Sometimes they'll hit a weird phase for a few weeks sometime after quilling is over and before a year old. It might be worthwhile to get another vet check, in case there's something going on that you can't see, because that sort of thing can also be caused by pain - but given the age I'm guessing she's just being a teenager.

So strange. She is feeling and acting much better now. I'm really glad to have my sweet girl back.
Thanks for the help.
