Default Dexter's Favorite Activity

So weird. I provide him with fleece strips, balls, stuffed animals... and what is his favorite thing to do??
Push his flower pot around with his nose. It is LOUD because he smacks it against the wall of his cage... repeatedly. Sometimes it wakes me up haha
What a weirdo.
I'm also kind of worried its gonna roll back on him some day haha
Maybe i'll go buy him some of those little ones to push around.

Any one else's hedgie do this??

Harvey doesn't have any flowerpots in his cage, but I was at a craft fair and a woman was selling concrete statues, birdbaths, etc. I saw an adorable concrete hedgie, about 2" cubed. Harvey loves it and pushes it around everywhere. One morning I saw it by his food bowl and the next morning by his water. Then I started to wonder if he was trying to take care of it. Most likely he was playing and decided to get a drink or get a nibble then left the little guy alone. Hedgies are so funny!

It's the gray thing near the orange bag.

Gah! Both of your stories are too cute! I can't seem to get Ryder to play with anything!

Norman is the same way. He's had a dig box, various balls, a Kong, plain ol' fleece strips, and a few other random toys, but his PVC corner pipe is the only thing he'll actually play with. He doesn't crawl through it though, he shoves it around with his snout to see what new place he can shove it to. He occasionally bumps it into the wall of his pen, probably just to make the noise to wake me up and laugh. He's also managed to lock himself out of his igloo once by shoving it across the entrance. He had a fit over that, and shoved it as hard and as fast as he could against it so it would make a loud clacking noise until I got up (3 AM, good timing!) and fixed the problem. Just like kids - they seem to enjoy the loudest and most annoying toys more than anything else.

Stella won't play with anything! In her cage she has a PVC pipe, a TP tube, an easter egg, and a small plush ferret toy and she ignores all of it! Sometimes she will hide in her PVC if i turn on a light. All she does is wheel and eat! Oh well, she seems happy!
