Default hedgie not wheeling/playing

Hi,
my hedgie is about 10 months old. She never used to play too much but she LOVED her wheel. She was wheeling for hours and used to get really annoyed if someone took her from the wheel.
About 3 months ago she stopped wheeling. Now she is just sleeping and eating. She walks around a liitle bit but that's it. Her nails are trimmed, we changed the wheel but it seems she is just no longer interested in the wheel. When i put her in it she doesn't even look around - she just walks out right away. Could it be because of the age - getting "old" and not interested in wheeling any more?
I am worried because she is not getting any exercises and she is eating quite well. She is not fat now but if she continues to only eat and sleep she will be soon.
How can i get her play again? She has balls of different sizes, she has tunels, she has 2 different wheels but she is not playing with any of them. Even when we bond she is only sleeping in our lap.

It's probably time to visit the vet. Changes in behavior can be a sign that they don't feel well. You'll need to see the vet to find out what is wrong.

But, just to cover the bases: what is the temperature in the cage? What are you using to heat it? What's the light schedule?

Hi, thansk for the suggestion - visiting the vet is our next step. I just was wondering if anyone has any exerience with hedgies changing their behaviour in such a way and not due to a health issue.
Regarding the heat and light schedule - everything is the same as usual.

What wheel did she use and what did you switch to?

We used a wooden one because here (in Bulgaria) hedgehogs are not the typical pets and there is almost no choice of toys and wheels and this was the only one large enough for a hedgie with solid "floor". Now, we saw some videos on the net and made her a bucket wheel.
