I'm writing with a broken heart, but I need to rehome a rescue I took in about 6 months ago. My health has taken a downward spiral, and I think it is in part due to her. My asthma flareups are so bad that I can barely stay in the room with her cage in it, and I have to wear a respirator to handle her.
I'm not giving her the life she deserves, but I really will miss her when she's gone. I'm in Temple, TX about an hour north. Eleanor is about 2 years old and she was previously homed in two-three different homes (no one was sure on her story) by people that didn't know much about hedgehogs. I would love to rehome her to a rescue group or an experienced home. Since this will be her fourth home ![]() She's very sweet and doesn't bite often (only if hand feeding- you're warned now!). She is super active at night and is SO FAST. She loves sleeping in her cardboard cave. Because she's stinky she's earned the nickname Smellanor. She's had no health problems that I know of, but I do have her on a bit of a diet. It was really hot in our house over the summer and she got a little fat and inactive. Included with her: -Food -Water/Food Dish -Some fleece blankets -Toys -Travel Case (it's soft, so I put it inside our cat carrier for extra safety) I will be keeping my custom built C&C cage and wheel as well as my heat lamp. You'll need to buy all of these things, unfortunately. Because of that, I am not looking for a re-homing fee, just a promise of a good life and occasional pictures. Depending on the distance, we can split the cost of gas. Contact: [email protected] Please explain a little about yourself. I might ask for a reference or to see your rescue group website/facebook. Thanks! |
