Default Good Homemade Toys

Hey All,

I was wondering what home-made toys are good for Hedgies.

If you have any fun ideas for home-made toys for hedgehogs comment below!

Thank you,

Dylan and Clover

Mine likes empty tissue boxes filled with pieces of fleece. Or just empty boxes.

This might sound strange, but my BubbleWrap loved to run around in paper bags. What a weirdo. LOL

Seconded on the TP tubes. It never gets old watching Liam run around with one of those on his head! I also have some paper towel tubes that I cut up in different sizes for variety. A lot of times when I take him out to play I'll set out a bunch of tubes and he gets this look on his face like "WOAH. Which one do I pick first??" It's cute.

Also, I recently braided together some long fleece strips, tied it off at both ends, and hung it from one of the top bars of his cage. Liam likes to bite and tug on it sometimes.

Hope this helps!

This isn't a toy exactly but it's the only thing Snarf plays with. I made a Rock Garden: I filled a clay plate thingamy (that you put under clay pots for plants) with aquarium gravel. I bury treats - pieces of dried fruit, mealies, fave kibble - in the gravel; Snarf heads straight to it when he wakes up and we can hear him digging around aaaaaaaall night. He loves it!! (I also hide kibble in his dig box.)

Snarf would say he is 'annoyed' as opposed to spoiled.

BF described your statement as 'accurate' - and he added: "Especially for how crusty he is".

He's got a point. Jeesh he's been grumpy the last couple days...even for him. Can 2 year-olds quill?
