Default Play time time

I was wondering what time you got your hedgies out to play or cuddle. Do you keep
It kind of dark during that time or play with the lights on. Cinnamon tries to hide if the lights are on but is more active if it is dark or dim. I was just curious about your play/cuddle schedule.

Thimble is a little grumpier in the morning.. ahah... but we play with the lights on and he really doesn't like to cuddle. He runs around the floor and climbs up my shirt to squeeze under my chin

To actually play and run around Prim will only do that when the lights are out or they're really dim. I usually get her out around 7pm or so along with her food and water dishes and let her run around the living room. I also get her out during the day and just snuggle with her. I usually wait until after noon before I get her out though.

I see so many of you that let your hedgie run up your shirt or in your sleeve. Cinnamon want to do that but I'm afraid that will hurt. Especially if I try to get her out. She lets us hold her and isn't grumpy at all but at first of she is asleep and you touch her her quills will come up. Does that not really hurt if they are against your stomachs or inside your shirt sleeve??

I think it tickles when they run on me, but I suppose if she fell asleep in there, and then bristled up, it could hurt.

Prim usually sleeps with her quills up and her tummy on my tummy, so no it doesn't usually hurt. She also doesn't usually put her quills up. I have had go up the arm of a long sleeve tshirt that was kind of loose... she didn't puff up or anything but when she turned around it was a bit uncomfortable.
