Default Are Flex-E Fun-nels okay for hedgies?

I'm getting my hedgie in a few months, but I'm getting everything ready for it now. I just purchased a Flex-E Fun-Nel from Petsmart. Here's a link to what it looks like: http://www.petco.com/product/5301/Super ... erret_Toys

If you have this, PLEASE share you expiriences with it!
I'm wondering, are these okay for hedgies? It looks a bit small, but I know hedgies can squeeze through small spaces. I'm thinking of removing the two end pieced because that looks a bit uncomfy for hedgie to get into, but I'm not sure. It also doesn't stay stretched. It's like a giant slinky, no matter how far I stretch it, it snaps back. The picture shows it in a "Knot" position, is that okay for hedgies or is it too much for them? Thank you for your time!

It looks good to me and if it is designed for ferrets I would think a hedgie would fit in there just fine. I don't have any first hand experience with the product but I will say this:

1. Just glanced at the reviews and they aren't great so just be aware of that
2. Every hedgie is different but my Henry would probably just hide in there rather than play in it (and he would probably pick the absolute middle so it would he hard to get him out)
3. I would be wary of how difficult it may be to clean if hedgie decides to use the bathroom in there

Every hedgie is so different but they won't all "play" like we may think they will. Not trying to burst your bubble...just some food for thought!

I had a longer version of this and Thimble would sit in the middle and refuse to come out...
sly thing...
It took so long to get him out... and never used it again...

8' long and it doesn't tell you the diameter. If it is less than 4", I wouldn't use it. They may get stuck. And it doesn't stay open - what fun is that? Try a ferret crinkle tunnel. They work better.

Reginald briefly had a similar tube, except it was purple and more ridged, and Maggie loved it until one day she had to get him out and he wasn't having it. He balled up and the ridges held him in place. That was the end of that experiment.

I have one of these left over from cage building and it just plain looks like a likely place to lose a grumpy hedgehog.

I am debating using a section as part of a custom carry sack, running it about the outside of a stiffer bag as a hedgehog observation deck. I have some obvious reservations about this idea but I love tinkering.

Thank you all for your responses!
I think I'll just return it and buy a PVC pipe instead

If your hedgehog is on the large side, or one day might be a big boy/girl, they'll probably get their fat butt stuck in that. Haha. PVC for the win!
