I see many hedgie owners with PVC fittings for them to crawl through such as tees or elbows, but I'm not sure what to do.
I know it has to be atleast 4" wide for them to fit through but I don't know which kind I should go with? I'm having difficulty finding them online wide enough as well. Any input would be appretiated.

I don't know where you live, so I'll just assume you live in the USA, since most of the members do.
Here is a couple links to 2 different PVC pipes that could be used. http://www.homedepot.com/Plumbing/h_d1/ ... =202905036 http://www.homedepot.com/Plumbing/h_d1/ ... =202905035 |

Sophie's cage is 2 grid x 4 grid C&C. She has a 2' long PVC pipe (4") with a 90 degree long-sweep bend on one end. The long-sweep is a little bigger than the standard 90 degree bend.
That's about the maximum length she can have in a cage that size. Running it along the long wall helps to get maximum value for the space. It's long enough that she feels super safe in there, but not so long that I can't fish her out. She loves running through it and hiding in it. She usually sleeps in her house, but sometimes she'll build a nest / burrow and sleep in the tunnel. She gets a great big stack of fleece strips and squares to build a burrow in her house, but sometimes she goes with the tunnel instead. She plugs up both ends solid. I thought about another bend or even a Y-connector, but those things suck up space like crazy. Those Y-connecters are huge, compared to the small amount of hiding space they give. Maybe a good choice for smaller setups where a length of pipe won't fit, though. (Some of those connectors are crazy expensive. Just the bend cost double the pipe.) http://serenebreezes.com/Sophie-images/pvc-tunnel.jpg http://serenebreezes.com/Sophie-imag...hie-102-cr.jpg |
