Fleece strips are fun. They dig and burrow in them. Make sure you watch him all the time though, because he can get out of there. Also, you should tie down that wheel. They aren't sturdy and easily tip over on hedgehogs. Make sure the price the sticks out in the middle of the wheel isn't rubbing against his back.

Very nice indeed I want to make Hazel something like this pronto as I think she feels a bit unprotected on the floor with just her fleece or bag. I need to make a wheel stand too I guess.

Looks like a lot of interesting stuff in there.

I second the dig box idea. I use aquarium gravel in a large-ish dog dish and hide mealies. Sumo loves it. Sorta...he kinda just reaches more than digs.

I also read somewhere on HHC...can't remember whose post ...about using a small Kong designed for a cat and filling it with treats. I am trying that tonight with a couple frozen crickets. I will let you know how it goes.

It could have been my post about the Kitty Kong viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12286&hilit=+kitty+kong My friends girls enjoy it especially the one. And my (boyfriends) two males will use them. My (boyfriends) female won't play with it, but she won't play with anything other then my boyfriend Hedgie crush .

That might also be due to limited space if your hedgehog is in an aquarium there isn't much space to avoid poop, one day isn't enough to call it a failure, its also the best way to avoid mites on your hedgehog
