Unhappy Mild seizure like behavior?

(I don’t think this is wobbly hedgehog syndrome but I had no idea where else to post this. This just seemed the closest.)

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anybody had any clue what is going on with Dean: Every two or three months or so (this is not a super common occurrence) he will have what I call “scrambles”. He acts very frantic, itching and biting himself and rolling around. It's not a playful behavior and he seems very uncomfortable. He won’t let anyone touch him and if you do he will get a pretty good bite in. He does this at any location in my house but typically at night sometime between 8 pm and 10 pm. They vary in intensity and last anywhere from a few minutes to more than an hour.

I was never worried because they are so infrequent and he is completely back to normal typically after an hour or two of being left alone but now I’m just curious and want to make sure everything is okay. Any ideas?

I have a video of it tonight but I am not sure if it is possible to attach it.

I can confirm that he does not have mites as he never itches himself otherwise and shows no symptoms. He was also treated last summer as a precaution. He does not do this in a specific location so it doesn’t seem to be an allergy either.
