Default Hedgie doesnt eat, doesnt move and bit her paw..

Hi All

Spi is now 8 months old and about a month ago we noticed she was trying to hibernate, we got her an electric blanket and were keeping the room warmer and since then she has been better, running in the wheel again and eating, but she has been eating less and less and recently just doesn't eat anymore. Even her favorite treats. I tried to force feed her pushing things into her mouth feew times a day and that day she started bitting her own paw and looked like she was trying to bite it off, we couldnt get her to stop, we took her to vets, he put a dressing on the paw and shes been on antibiotics and anti inflammatory for few days. He said she was very skinny and weak and doesnt think biting the paw is related to not eating, but her mobility is decreasing she can barely stand and will not eat or drink on her own only through syringe (we have special sort of baby food like food for sick carnivores from Royal Canin) when she tries to walk she looks like she is paralysed. Looks like a WHS but she is so young and the mobility has decreased literally over a few days. The vet is out of ideas now and we fear the worst.

We are still giving her antibiotics and food and water, the vet gave her corticoids injection today to check what that does, she had an Xray and only showed enlarged bladder which the vet thinks will have to do with wekend muscles and so maybe WHS as antibiotics didnt help.

Has anyone got any other ideas ? The vet isnt that experienced as we live in Malaga Spain and hedgies are rare here and there's only one exotic animals clinic and he doesnt know much aobut WHS etc. (he has done some reading now during this case and says he remembers it from Uni but he has never had a case or heard of a case here) She cannot stand upright anymore and looks like all 4 legs are paralysed.. she makes weird weak movements and fall over all the time and shakes. lies on her side too a lot.

How like no has she been not eating? What is the temperature in her cage? To me it sounds like she is very weak from not getting enough nutrients. She needs to be syringe fed 20-24 mls of food a day just to keep from losing more weight. Is she drinking at all? If not then she'll need to be syringe fed water too.
