Hello all, new hedgie owner here. I've read a lot and watched several Youtube videos and I'm sure there's a lot more to learn.
First question as a new owner..... she is 2 1/2 years old. Her previous owner fed her only Purina Kitten Chow (and the occasional mealworm). Obviously, I will be switching her to a healthier mix. The previous owner said she did not have any more food to provide to me to transition her over. Should I buy a whole new bag of Kitten Chow to transition her over, or would it be ok to just switch to my new mix? I would really hate to buy a bag of something I won't use all of, especially after I already bought her 3 bags of food. Regardless, I want to do what's best for my hedgie. Opinions? |

If you can't get samples from anywhere else, just buy a small bag. When you have her switched over, you can probably donate what's left to a local animal or wildlife shelter.
