Default Meal worms

I have a two month old Hedgie and she's starting to eat meal worms. does any one know how many I can give her a day?

I've never owned a baby hedgie, hopefully, someone with more experience will jump in...

With older hedgies, a lot depends on how active they are (the hedgies, not the mealies). Mealies are quite high in fat so you don't want to over-do it. Snarf wheels at least 5 miles/night so I give him 3 - 5 mealies a day (mostly for bribery purposes ) - I try and buy the teeny ones so I can give more.

Make sure, too, if you end up getting Superworms, that you chop the heads off (the mealies not the hedgies) before feeding as thyey can bite after being eaten.

i usually give Peter some every other day, between 5 and 10. when there's only a few left in the cup out of the 50 that come in it, i put the cup in his cage and he goes crazy digging in it trying to find as many worms as he can. haven't given him any super worms or anything yet, but once i get some screens for the top of his cage, i'd like to give him some live crickets and see what he does. i bought him a can-o-crickets from the pet store (they are dead) and he never touched them
