hedgehog won't eat help!!
 

My hedgehog is 2 years old smd I've never had a serious health problem before. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a decrease in the amount of food he is eating. Its gotten to the point now where he is not eating or running on his wheel at night. He did eat a few crickets but not any kibble. He has been drinking fine but I have noticed some serious weight loss. Tonight I got hkm to eat a lot of chicken flavored baby food but I want to figure out what is causing this. I know that a lot of people will say to go to the vet but it just gets so expensive.I ordered another bag of hedgie food just in case his old food has gone stale. Do you have any ideas as to what could be wrong or how to fix it. :!:

Have you tried dampening his kibble? He may be having difficulty crunching his food. Have you tried to look in his mouth?

Is there any way to get his mouth open without hurting him? I am going to soften his kibble and try to give him some veggies
