Default Jumping when she eats

I switched Prim to the Newman's Own cat food and stopped wetting her food. I've noticed when she starts chewing the food she seems to almost flinch and her quills on her head come forward. The food is really really small but should I start wetting it a little just in case it's too hard for her?

Primrose became a part of my family on September 5th, 2012.

Ivy became a part of my family on May 1st, 2013.

Buddy does this too, and at first I was worried he was gonna lose a tooth but the food he's on is one of the ones listed as being ok for Hedgies so I'm not worried anymore, I guess it's just crunchy. If you're still worried you could try wetting the food a little to soften it up

They're just scaring themselves with the loudish noises their eating makes. Obi does a little huff every so often too...it's quite adorable when they scare themselves a bit
