Default Dry food?

Hi everyone!

I am currently feeding Holly Blue Buffalo Freedom Indoor Kitten Food. She is currently4 months and 4 days old. There was a hole in her food bag and it seems to have gone stale maybe? It seems like she has some trouble chewing it, opening her mouth all the way to chew the food in the back and moves her eyebrows down when she's done eating; when the food cracks. IS there a way I can soften the food? She won't eat wet food and doesn't like it when I moisten this food. Should I just buy a new bag? And can I switch her over to cat food?

If you think the. Urgent kibble is stale, I’d first recommend getting fresh food. You’d want to keep her on the same diet you have now, but if you want to gradually switch to a cat food of good quality, the pieces might be smaller and easier to chew. Right now, you can also try simply crushing the kibble up (ie putting some in a ziplock bag and hitting it with a meat mallet). It sounds like the pieces are just awkward in her mouth so a smaller piece would be beneficial, but it being stale can be a contributor as well.
