Default Sweet peppers

Can Hedgehogs eat sweet bell peppers? I’m trying to find some new fruits and veggies that my lil guy will eat and so far it’s just broccoli and strawberry with his dry food and worms and I just want I give him a bigger variety in hope that he eats more (he’s always been on the small side since I got him, he’s completely healthy though)

My little guy likes bananas, watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew melon. I haven't tried bell peppers but hope that helps 😊

Yes bell peppers are safe make sure they dont get the seed though.

If you want him eating more fruit and veg isnt a brilliant way to do it, I mean you can add it in but they shouldn't have lot as they cant digest it properly.
So should only be fed a small amount in a week, most the beg should really come from insects.

You said worms, are you just feeding worms? If so try using other insects as well like crickets, locusts, roaches ect have 5 types of insects to get a good verity, and build it so it makes up 1/4 to 1/2 their diet, this way you can have him eating more and added verity.

You can also add in cooked meat or raw pet grade food for dogs - please make sure any food for our consumption is cooked. Duck, turkey, chicken, beef ect pork if its pet grade but not too often. This will add better verity, you can add veg along side it twice a week

Cooked egg - boiled, scrambled not using milk, however you want really as long as its plain cooked, no oil seasonings ect.

He does get cat food with his dinner and I never give him more than a tablespoon of fruits and veggies (I usually cut it all up and mix it together in a bag and leave it in the fridge for him) and he does occasionally get eggs or meat, I’m just trying to get creative to encourage him to eat more than a tablespoon of food a night (I measure the amount he eats) but I will look into trying new insects 😁
