Default Treats-Diet Supplementation and Amounts

How much/many should I allow my hedgehog to eat each night?

Her favorites are eggs, chicken, apples, beans, and cooked carrots. Of course, mealworms.

I am not sure how much I should let Mary Poppins eat. I normally just give her a few bits of each and five mealworms --because someone else on this site feeds theirs five (yeah, I've no clue but that).

I am concerned with getting her sick and things.

There are several members here who ONLY feed cooked meats, fruit, veggies, and insects. Offering these things on a daily basis won't hurt your hog. You might want to make eggs a once a week treat type of thing. There's a really good treat list somewhere in the diet section!

You're lucky to have such a willing eater. Lots of our hogs are super picky eaters lol. If she will eat a variety of foods, just go for it, I say! It's good to try to cover all the nutritional bases by offering variety

It'll also be good to look up the holistic diet thread as well for more food ideas.... like the meatballs!

I am posting the holistic diet thread link and safe fruit and veggies links and a link to a thread with all the diet stuff asked and answered.--because I found them after you wrote there a holistic thread. I should have looked a little harder before starting a new thread:C--
