Im trying to feed my hedgie Isabella some new treats :)

She's a little over 3 months old, but I thought I would try to give her watermelon, cantaloupe and parsley to see which of these she preferred/liked.
I cut the pieces into smaller slices, but she seemed confused as to how to approach eating them...? So, I was wondering if it is advisable to cut it into even smaller pieces, say the size of her food? I had a piece of watermelon on my finger and she legit stuck her mouth around my entire finger, the piece of melon and bit down lol, then was confused.

I usually cut food up into small hedgie-bite-sized pieces so that they're easy for Lily to eat. I would at least cut them up to the size of her kibble, so it's a size she's familiar with. Watermelon is generally a big hit with hedgies, so I'd try again with that, at least. Lily likes cantaloupe too, and honeydew melon as well. Instead of hand-feeding her though (which can encourage biting if they come to associate your hand/fingers with food), give the treats to her in a small bowl or a plastic spoon.
