Default Spike is going to be VERY happy!

Well... I hope he is anyway! I just got these in the mail from a friend! (she has lots of reptiles). I thought she was only going to send me a few to get me started.... um, there are probably about a hundred roaches here (there are a bunch underneath the egg carton and tons of tiny babies)! Aaack! lol

Wow thats great! Defiantly enough to start a colony. x3 tons of females and males from what I can see.
If she has any extra I'll buy some from her. D; I only have about 20. I need more females. :/

Which ones are the females and which are the males?? lol! I'm sure i'll have lots in a very short time and would be happy to send you some. I'll ask her if she has any extra (i'm sure she does - says she is being over-run!).

How often do you feed them to you hedgie, and how many? Some of these are HUGE, so I think one of those at a time would be good...

The males are the ones with the wings. You only need like 2 males for every 10 or so females.
Lol thanks. :3
Once I get a good colony going I hope to feed one a day. They're not unhealthy at all. Just one adult is fine. Don't worry your hedgie can take it. Make sure the female isn't prego though when you do. (i'm pretty sure it's very visible though)
I usually get a little container (big enough for the hedgie to move around and only a few in tall. )
Put the dubia in there with your hedgie and the dubia can't get out and your hedgie will be able to chase it easily.
I hope that makes sense. I'm watching a movie kinda distracted.

Awesome! Thank you! I spoke to my friend and she said that she will send you some if you'd like - she needs to thin out her colony! PM me your address
and I can get it to her - or if you'd be more comfortable dealing directly with her I can get her email address to you.
