Default My Benjamin is not eating.

He has had the same bowl of food for three days and it's only half empty. Should I be concerned? He has been here for 6 days. But I don't believe that's the case because he ate half a bowl the first night he was here

I would recommend changing out the bowl each night - it's possible the food has gotten a little stale or something and he's no longer interested in it. Also, if you change the food every night, it makes it easier to tell if he's been eating. Count kibbles, take a picture of the bowl, or weigh the food before putting it in, and then do a comparison the next day when you change the food out.

For right now, check to see if he's pooped, as that would be a clear sign that he's eating. If you're really worried, I would recommend getting some chicken or turkey baby food and hand feeding the little guy. The jar is only a dollar or two, and it would give you some reassurance that he's at least getting a little something.

If he's not eating the food you're offering, and doesn't touch his kibbles, syringe feeding and a vet visit may be in order. I would recommend attempting the baby food first, then counting kibbles tonight.
