Default Chipped CHE

I ordered a Zoomed CHE (150W) off of ebay, and after 16 days, it finally arrived. I open it and noticed it was slightly chipped. Usually I'd exchange it, but considering it'd be such a hassel to send it back and have it sent again etc, I wanted to ask around and see how much of an effect the chip would have.

Does anyone know if a slight chip may cause faulty heatin or cause it to explode or reduce length of time it works?

I would return it (even though it's a pain in the neck to do it.). I would be too afraid of it cracking and the pieces falling in the cage.

I wouldn't risk using one with a chip.

To be honest, I wouldn't order an emitter online. Buying from a store, even though a bit more expensive, if you get the wrong wattage, or there is something wrong with the emitter, it is easy and quick to exchange for another one.
