Default Bonding/playtime room temperature?

Hello!

Sorry for the multiple Qs on this forum (new owner here! Promise I'm trying to only ask Qs I haven't found an answer to). I'm wondering about appropriate ambient temperatures for playtime/bonding time. As the weather starts to cool, Milo's cage remains well regulated, between 24.5-26C (76-79F). However, our ambient living room temperature is now a bit cooler, around 23C (74F). I want to ensure it's okay to have Milo out in this temperature as long as he's cuddled close to me most of the time. I'm mostly concerned post-foot-bath, ensuring he's fully dry. His room is the small "flex" room in our very small apartment, so there's no room to sit in there with him.

I also wanted to check if it's okay for him to play in this temperature for an hour in his playpen (it's 23C/74F right by the floor - trying to ensure accurately!). I assume this is less okay? I have been setting up his playpen in the bathroom as that generally stays warmer, but would love to be able to set up in the living room if this wouldn't be too cold (allows for much easier setup, soft lighting, etc.).

Thanks to everyone for the help and patience!

It depends on him, I guess keep an eye on him and feel his belly and see how active he is compared to normal but 23 may be okay for him, just check his belly after 10-20mins to see its still and then again after another 20 mins just to make sure he's still warm and at the end of the hour check again, and if its all warm the whole way through then he's fine at 23 for the hour out.
If not could you not turn your heating up a little by 1 degree?? Or maybe a space heater on a thermostat while he's out so it stays 24/25 degrees while he is out??

While cuddled into you it wont be an issue and for after foot baths just keep him on you under or in a fleece blanket to make sure he's okay and dry before going back.

Its a good question! All hedgehogs are different with temps Holly wouldn't be okay at 23, but others prefer 23 and others can be okay at 23 but prefer higher temps
