Default Continue using a heating pad?

Hi,

I've been using a small animal heating pad underneath my hedgehog's cage for a year without any major issue. In particular, it was used underneath my hedgehog's igloo. This was because the air temp of the cage was frequently 72-74 degrees.

I've recently moved and the air temp in the cage is now commonly 75-80 degrees. Do you think my hedgehog would prefer to keep the heating pad, or is the air temp high enough now to discontinue use of a pad?

Heating pads are not recommended because it could give them burns and it doesn't heat up the air. You should still have a heat source that heats up the air connected to a thermostat, that way it keeps the temperature consistent. Five degree fluctuation is too big.
