I have currently one heat lamp pointed at my hedgehogs' sleeping area? Its summer, so is this enough? (It only turns on when it is below 73 degrees F) Or should I get one more for the fall/winter?

It depends if the one lamp can maintain a warm enough temperature throughout the enclosure. Generally, the longer an enclosure is wide, more lamps are needed. It’s a good idea to have both the thermostat that controls the duration the lamp is on but also a separate thermometer so you can gauge the temperature. I’d recommend hanging a thermometer probe as far away from the lamp as you can so as to give you a look at what temperature the coldest part of the enclosure is at. Hopefully that answers your question lol I feel like I was rambling

It depends on the enclosure, if your in a cage/vivarium the heat should be in the middle and theres no need for more than one heat source.
Where as bin cages or c&c cages, that are longer or connected together, they tend to need a couple to make sure its fully heated - the amount can depend on if they are 100w or 150w lamps as well.
