Default Will a heat lamp melt a plastic bin cage?

I very highly doubt it would, but im getting my hedgehog and im buying the cage, i want to make my own with connected bins, but im not sure if the heat lamp will melt it, i doubt it would but i want to make sure, does anyone know someone or has anyone ever used a heat lamp with a plastic bin?

i used my heat lamp with the metal gridding to put it on. So as long as it isn't on the plastic it wont melt it. Also with multiple bins you'll need multiple heat lamps.

If any metal part of the lamp that gets hot comes in direct contact with the plastic, it'll melt, but otherwise no. The best way would probably be to make some sort of lid - either the bin's lid with the middle cut out and replaced with wire, or a fully wire lid, or anything similar where the lamp can be seated on something that isn't plastic. You can also suspend the lamp from above so it hangs above the bin without touching it. There should be at least a handful of examples of how to use lamps with a sterilite bin enclosure in the 'cage setup examples' sticky.
