Larry, I've already told you in an earlier thread that you can't use a heating blanket to heat your hedgehogs cage. It's completely inappropriate.

Please read that sticky. That will tell you how you can heat the cage.

Read the sticky. Figure out what would work best for you. If you have specific questions, ask. But no, no heating blankets. Heating is something you needed to have worked out before you brought your hedgehog home. It's not an optional thing. Your hedgehog can get sick and die if you can't provide a stable temperature that's warm enough to keep him from hibernating.

No. Your hedgehog could be burned by it.

If you're using lamps, the bulbs need to be ceramic heat emitter bulbs. The lamps need to be rated safe to use with CHE bulbs. And how many lamps you need depends on the size of the cage & the temperature of the room. Yes, larger cages usually do better with two to spread the heat out more effectively.

I'm guessing you're young, Larry, and a tip for you on being a member of the forum - please stop commenting on old threads (over a couple months old), and comment once and say everything you need to then. Please avoid commenting 2, 3 or more times in a row on a thread, it basically amounts to spamming. And it also takes time to get answers to your questions since people aren't on the forum at all times.
nikki and shinydistraction like this.
