Silly question. We've built a massive c&c unit for our two hedgies. There is a base, a 2X4 cage and then a 2x3 cage overlapping half of the bigger cage. I have used solid plastic panels for the back and sides to help retain a bit more heat. I am using CHE's to heat and a large floor lamp on a timer for appropriate day/night lighting. While I am getting the cages to an appropriate level of 74-76*, there are spots in the cages that are a couple of degrees lower. I don't think more CHE's are the solution. Are hedgies smart enough(for lack of a better word) to stay I the warmer areas? This probably sounds nuts but I'm slightly concerned they may find a cooler corner and hibernate. It's only off by a couple of degrees and just in a couple of small places.....

I don't know how to post a picture. I have to do it from my phone or an iPad. If you can tell me how, I'll surely try
