Is it lost in your house or outside?

If in your house crank up the heating and leave it up all night. Leave food and water in each room then hunt after lights out. Chances are if you're quiet and its dark you'll soon hear the pitter, patter of tiny feet. You may have to get up at numerous points during the night though. It's imperative that the house is hot though to prevent hibernation! By imperative I mean that the comfort of the occupiers will need to become secondary until found. No good turning the heating off at night cause it's too hot to sleep!
Obviously in the meantime check all dark spaces, in piles of clothes, laundry baskets. Inside furniture, behind wardrobes, under kitchen units, under baths, behind toilets etc.

A few weeks ago I lost my baby.
My nephew told me something about not seeing him anywhere in his cage one night and I did not think much of it. The next day I went to go feed him and he was nowhere to be found. I was up crying all night because the basement door was open and I believed 100% that he was a goner. I ended up finding him hiding in a crack in the wall in the laundry room. He was gone for 3 days but he is perfectly fine.
Best wishes on finding your hedgie!
