Default Renal Failure Questions

Hi! I have been feeding my hedgie green grapes on and off for the past week as a treat. He has maybe eaten 6 grapes. I didn't know they were toxic until today. He hasn't eaten in a few days and i am going to syringe feed him today. I am afraid that i caused renal fauilure for him and am completely scared. I don't want to take him to the vet if i don't have to. Is there anything that i can do to fix this?? Please help!

How old is your hedgehog? I doubt if that is the problem, I fed my hedgehog Snowball grapes back in the day (before anyone knew this was a problem) and she didn't develop renal failure. If it is though, there is certainly no home remedy for it. Are the whites of his eyes yellow? Is he drinking excessive water? Look up symptoms of renal failure and see if he is experiencing any of them.

When you say he hasn't eaten, how many days are we talking, and do you mean he hasn't eaten at all? Have you tried feeding live mealworms?
I doubt if he would refuse them unless something really is seriously wrong.
In any case, if he truly isn't eating that is serious and you will need to take him to the vet.
Is he really old, any other reason he would be sick?
