Default not sure if medication is safe from inexperienced vet?

Luna had been acting strange (VERY grumpy, sensitive to touch, a lot more sleeping, less drinking, an odor, and occasionally nibbling on us) for a few days and after some reading, I thought she might have had an ingrown quill that got infected. Last night, I noticed yellow pus above her eyes and behind one ear. I brought her to the exotics vet today and it was her first ever visit. We brought treats and blankets but she was quite uncooperative with the vet, she could barely examine her. She mostly just poked Luna and scared her. In the end, she said it was a scent gland infection and prescribed antibiotics (Clavamox 0.06mL 2x a day for 10 days) , pain meds (metacam 0.02mL 1x a day for 4 days), and a medicated shampoo (prohex once every two days) for the areas. I've never heard of a hedgie getting a scent gland infection, they don't have scent glands! I was wondering if you thought the meds were all safe for her. The vet mostly treats dogs, cats and birds but I asked before going in and they said she'd had quite a bit of experience with hedgehogs but she seemed very tentative to touch her and flinched every time she huffed. She seemed uncomfortable handling her and I held her most of the time. What are your thoughts?

I have never heard of scent glands on hedgehogs. The antibiotic (Clavamox) and the pain med (Metacam) are often used in hedgehogs. I don't know anything about the medicated shampoo though.
