Default Teatree Oil Shampoo

So I fully understand the toxicity of teatree shampoo, but I have a brother who uses tea tree shampoo, and he really likes it. I do not know if he would change it, even if it would affect my soon to be hedgehog. I am not getting the hedgehog until march, but he has enough shampoo to last for years. I was wondering if I just kept my door closed if that would be enough, or would I need to get something to filter the air. I really would prefer not to, but If it was necessary, I would not hesitate for a second. The stuff is the tea tree special shampoo by Paul Mitchell. Most of the time, he showers at the pool before school and gets back around 7:15, so there is almost 12 hours at school. I am sorry if I am being repetitive, I just want to have the best environment possible for my hedgehog.

Thanks alot.

The smell is not the problem for tea tree and hogs. Your hedgie ingesting it by any means, now that's a different story. Bathing your hedgie with it cannot 100% guarantee that your hedgie won't get a taste of it during and after rinsing. One lick is not lethal but a couple more can be hazardous. Better not risk it

So if my brother never really interacts with my hedgehog, It would be ok if he used that shampoo? I have heard if there is tea tree oil in the air, it could get into there respiratory system.

They don't just have to ingest tea tree. Putting it on their skin is toxic too.
