Default Runny Nose

Sometimes when I take Sonic out to play, his nose seems drippy and he licks it a lot. I'm not sure if it's a URI because he doesn't have difficulty breathing, wheezing, etc. We have a cat that has the same problem but has nothing else wrong with him. Our other cat gets a discharge from her eyes when the weather gets warm and the seasons change. We live back in the woods where there's always pollen and spores and stuff like that, so could it be allergies? I can't imagine there's much I can do for an animal with allergies.

Is this something new or just something that Sonic has always had going on with him? If its something new, it could be a URI.

If he's been this way more than several weeks or even months, its probably allergies or something to that nature. My girl Hester always has a somewhat unusually wet nose, enough that I was on URI watch when I first got her, but nothing ever changed. Seems to be the wettest when she's first awake, I've even seen a tiny drip or two. She'll lick at it, and usually after being awake for awhile it gets a touch less wet.

Hope that helps.

He's had it for a while. It just got a little drippier lately and he licks at it a little more. But he's always done it. He doesn't seem unhealthy in any other way and everything else seems normal.
