Default blood in urine

I'ma newer hedgie owner and I just noticed yesterday that there was blood up where my hedgie drinks and under wheel. The two places she usually has accidents. I knew it was pee because her stool was next to it which was fine and it was like a puddle. I checked her out and she didn't seem to be bleeding anywhere. So I'm pretty sure its pee. She's eating, drinking and doing everything normal except for the blood. But today I saw a tinkle in there and there was no blood. Should I still take her to the vet even though there wasn't anymore blood today?

Vet and get them to do a fine needle aspiration of her bladder, so that you know if the blood is urinary or uterine. Then she can be treated accordingly.

Though that being said, have you 100% made sure she isn't bleeding anywhere else? If you've done a very thorough check, then yes, vet asap. Urinary blood is relatively easier to treat, uterine can end up needing to be spayed. So it's best to find that out as soon as possible.

If you do a search(located upper right corner) for "fine needle, uterine, urinary" you'll come up with other threads of people finding their girls peeing blood.

I am completely sure she isn't bleeding anywhere else on her body because I gave her a bath not to long ago and looked her over. I'm worried because shes going on three now and if it is a uterine infection I noticed the primary way of getting rid of it would be spaying but I'm not sure if she'd make it being a little older and stresses easily so im hoping its just urinary.

shes going in to my normal vet on thursday because my vet wont be in till then. Will she be ok till thursday or do you think i should find another vet?

She is not too old for a spay. I've had girls done at 3 & 4 and they came through just fine. Unless she is bleeding massive amounts, Thursday is fine.
