Ok only from reading past posts you need to warm her slowly....try tucking her into your armit and putting a sweater on so she gets heat all around....someone with more experience will answer soon.

Put her under your sweatshirt, sit in the warmest room of the house and turn the heat up. Do not turn the heat directly on her -- you want to use your body heat to warm her up. Do not put her in water.

If you have a heating pad, turn it on and place it on your lap so you are warm, but don't put her directly on the heating pad.

If she doesn't respond within 45 minutes, she will need to see a vet tonight.

Thats good to hear, but remember if they have tried to hibernate they are at a higher chance to do it again as well as for getting sick.....raise the temp in her room and cage closer to 78 degrees and keep an eye on her.

Hibernation is a very serious problem and can be fatal.

You need to keep a very close eye on her for the next couple of weeks as her immune system will be weak. Watch for any sign of sickness -- lack of appetite, lack of activity, sneezing, nose licking, runny nose.

You NEED a thermometer in her cage. What feels warm for you might be too cold for her. Usually you want to keep hedgehogs in a temperature between 73-78 but because she just attempted hibernation she should be kept warmer. Aim for 77-78F.

I suggest you read this threads:

I am strongly seconding EVERYTHING susanp said...there are many times I have been completely off about the temp when I've gone to check Snarf's cage...a thermometer is a must.

I hope everyone's okay!!
