Default Hedgie acting strange after turn in weather, help!

Hi I was just wondering if you have any advice for me. I have a hedgie called Nugget, she is 1 in November. I live in England so the weather is not always the best but we had a heat wave that only a few days ago ended. I have been trying to control the temperature in the room where she is and the thermometer says it is correct but she is acting odd. She normally sleeps in one side of the cage in a little house and a few days ago I would find her the opposite side of the cage, huddled and uncovered. Then she started to lie there under the paper that I line the cage with. She seems to be eating ok and drinking but hasn't really ran on her wheel until last night for an hour (usually she runs for 3 hrs or more). I'm not sure if she is too hot or sick. Really worried about her but not sure whether it's a vet issue or just a hedgie thing that I've not seen before. She feels warm like normal on her belly, although when cleaning the cage yesterday I did see more quills than normal on the cage floor so could it be quilling? And her ears are dry but I can see no signs of mites and she doesn't scratch that much. Also she is an awkward eater and eats no veg or fruit or meal worms.. Just her dry cat food and chicken and beef. Could her diet be catching up with her?

Sorry for the big questions but I'm a first time owner and up until now it's been plain sailing.. Thank you in advance.
