Default sick hedgehog :( I REALLY NEED HELP!

Hi guys, i really need some help.
My hedgehog is 6 months old and month ago he got sick. I am from country in which it is not usual to have hedgehogs so veterinarians don't know how to help them.
So i got really scared i i tried to find on internet any informtions how to treat them. I found this: http://www.irishwildlifematters.ie/a...hog-drugs.html.
I talk to veterinarian and he said that he think that best thing to use is Enrofloxacin.
We were treating him for 5 days and he got better, but now is happening the same thing . He is sneezing very offten, dosen't walk and he is almost not eating. I don't know did we need to give him medicine for 7 days maybe? And vetenerian give him medicine in the leg so i really want to know is anyone here who knows how this goes? How long should we treat him and where he should get medicine( leg or somewere else)? And if you have more advice i would be glad to hear it because i really want to help him.

Tnx and sorry for my english, i hope you understand me well enough.

Enrofloxacin is a strong antibiotic and should work. I dislike it because many hedgehogs will get gastrointestinal upset (bright green runny stools) while on it. Very rarely does my veterinarian prescribe injections, we usually use an oral version. If you are using injections, don't give them in the same place. I have seen enrofloxacin cause bruising at the injection site before.

A couple of thoughts I have are that either the 5 day run of it didn't kill everything and you need to treat again for longer. Or the infection is resistant and a different drug needs to be used. I'd suggest talking to your veterinarian about doing a longer run. And if that doesn't work, ask about a culture and sensitivity test to determine what drug will kill the bacteria.

The problem is that he curls up in ball and we can't even see his face :S. When veterinarian comes in the room he gets really scared because he is not used to be around other people :S.
